My name is Spunky Harrell.  I am excited to be the new Director at Amarillo Art Institute.  I am an Amarillo native and have returned after several years away.  I graduated from Texas Tech (many years ago) with a BFA in Painting and Printmaking and a minor in Art History.  I am looking forward to getting to know each of you.  I am thankful that this incredible Institute exists here in Amarillo and I am ready to take the ball and run with it and build on what is already in place.  I am focused on growing our school, educating the community about AAI and all we have to offer, and inspiring beginning, intermediate, and advanced artists with more wonderful classes and workshops throughout the coming years.
