Teach Art at AAI

The Amarillo Art Institute welcomes new artist instructors who want to teach children, teens and adults in a variety of media. Most AAI classes range from 5 to 8 students. AAI works with the artist instructor to provide supplies for children’s classes; adult students provide their own supplies.
AAI needs artist instructors to teach lessons, ongoing classes, workshops and 1-day seminars (usually on Saturday). Hours are flexible and pay is generous.
AAI handles all the publicity and advertising, although artist instructors are encouraged to participate.

Art Films:

AAI offers a variety of art demonstration and biographic films on the third Sunday of each month. Artists Len and Ginny Slesick host this free event. Coffee is provided.

Member Groups Meeting at AAI:

  • Golden Spread Woodcarvers 9 to noon First and Third Saturdays

AAI also hosts:

  • Lone Star Pastel Society
  • Society of Decorative Painters
  • Watercolor Society
