Third Saturday Art.Beat for Kids for February and March!

Third Saturday Art.Beat. for kids in the month of February!

There are certain traits that we all possess. One of these is creativity. At some level, every single person has a creative spirit within.

Amarillo Art Institute is excited to offer a new workshop series. Third Saturday Art.Beat. Our new workshop series is for any and every child regardless of their level of creativity, artistic ability or experience. Please join us as your child explores a different exciting medium once a month and we find the artist within.

Every month the price of the workshop includes supplies needed for our artists to create and successfully complete their masterpieces. Our goal is that your child has a rewarding first-time experience and also complete an original piece of their own artwork.

Please join Amarillo Art Institute as we begin our Third Saturday Art.Beat. for Kids. This is a workshop series where every child is encouraged, and invited to be a part as we take the key and unlock the door to the artist that lives inside all of us and is ready to create!

Come and learn about the German/Swiss artist Paul Klee and his journey from musician to artist. Paul Klee paintings are key elements in the rise of modern art and included several different styles from the new 20th century art movements which Paul Klee helped to develop.

“His subjects reveal his impish humor, his bent toward the fantastic, and the meditative.” His work is musical and lyrical! Paul Klee paintings have been classified within several different related movements including expressionism, cubism, and surrealism.

Please join us in February to learn more about Paul Klee and the modern art style that he developed as he changed the face of the art world in the 20th and 21st century!
