This is an adult class (ages 15 & up) that teaches both slab and wheel methods. Clay may be purchased at the first class session.

Drawing on the Right Side of the Brain (Member)
Learn the techniques from Betty Edwards book “Drawing on the Right Side of the Brain, including perception of edges, spaces, relationships, lights and shadows and the whole or gestalt. Beneficial for both the beginning artist learning to draw and the experienced artist wanting to enhance skills and boost creativity. Supply list: 1 2B pencil, 12″ ruler, paper and an eraser. Artist instructor: Janette Dickerson. Actual meeting times: 6:30 to 9 p.m. Thursday and Friday; 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.

World renowned landscape painter Guido Frick will be holding a workshop at Amarillo Art Institute in Amarillo, Texas on June 2-4, 2010 starting at 9:00 am.
Life Drawing Open Studio - Wednesdays (ongoing)
6:30-9:30 p.m. – Wednesdays (ongoing) – No InstructorAAI provides a model and equipment. Participants of all levels bring their own supplies to draw, paint or sculpt. Registration is not required for Open Studio participation; however, space is limited. This Open Studio works with a nude model.
