Amarillo Art Institute

Internationally known sculptor, Lincoln Fox will be holding a workshop at Amarill Art Institue.  This is an opportunity for people of all skill levels to learn more about sculpting.  Lincoln is an amazing instructor and this is your chance  to learn from “the best”.  Not only will you actually produce your own sculpture, you will have this opportunity to interact with Lincoln and other artists during this 3 day workshop.

Learn to draw & paint what you have always wanted to… the human face. The 3-day workshop will begin with a June 9, Wednesday evening live portrait demo and orientation/reception from 6:30 to 9:00.  During the workshop you will work from a live model and see at least two demonstrations by Mike, for only $300.

Students learn about digital photography, photo printing and how to create a set-up for photographing, as well as how to use a photo in artwork. Three 8 X 10 photographs will be produced by each child, suitable for framing. One portrait, one scenic, and one of the child’s choice. Kids must supply own digital camera.

CAMP 3 ONLY

6:30-9:30 p.m. – Mondays (ongoing) – No InstructorAAI provides a model and equipment. Participants of all levels bring their own supplies to draw, paint or sculpt. Registration is not required for Open Studio participation; however, space is limited. A nude model is present on the second Monday of each month.

Students will learn the introduction process to printmaking with a small press that will produce 5 X 7 prints. Techniques learned will be from a linoleum block, solar plate using the sun, and etching. On the last day of class each child will make a book of their prints.
