The Woodcarvers have a show and sale each year at the Civic Center. In 2012, it will be in October. Professionals come in during the year to teach seminars during club meetings. Professionals come in and teach members prior to the show at the Civic Center. Club members also volunteer to teach other members different carvings, cut out projects with a bandsaw, and show how to carve and sometimes paint pieces. Golden Spread Woodcarvers buy wood, usually basswood, then the members can purchase the wood from the club at the price it cost the club. The club also has people who do wood burning. Golden Spread Woodcarvers is a 65-member strong club that welcomes interested people to join in the wood-carving fun!
