The Amarillo Art Institute is looking for dedicated, reliable, energetic individuals who would like to experience this institution from the inside—as a volunteer!  Our volunteers come from all walks of life, and they volunteer for all kinds of reasons. What’s your reason?

* Help others in my community
* Support something I believe in
* Have fun!
* Uncover hidden skills and talents
* Refresh old interest
* Meet new friends and contacts
* Be a part of my child’s activities
* Do something worthwhile
* Increase my self confidence
* To make a difference

There are many good reasons to get involved in the Amarillo Art Institute, including learning something about yourself. Volunteer today!

We are currently needing volunteers to help with things such as, but not limited to, the following:

Office Work
– Filing
– Organizing

Cleaning up and re-organizing the Institute
– Painting (Book cases, shelves, chairs, etc)
– Organizing the Library

Events
– First Friday Art Walk
– Setting up for First Friday Art Walk (Arranging and Cleaning off
tables, laying out all brochures and flyers on workshops,
updating bulletin boards, etc.)
– Manning of Workshop info, volunteer sign up, and membership
table
– Selling AAI collateral (t-shirts, aprons, etc)
– Clean up
– Assist in organizing the Annual Meeting
– Assist at the Amarillo Art Institute Booth at the Life After 50 Expo
in April

Camps
– Kids Camp
– Set up, and manning of registration area
– Organizing the art show at the end of each camp
– Hanging and organizing art for last day of camp art show
– Clean up

Workshops
– Set up for workshops
-clean up area where workshop will be held (take out trash,
sweep floor, etc)
– arrange tables and easels
