Kelli Folsom is an exhibiting and award-winning member of Oil Painters of America, American Women Artists, American Impressionists Society and Women Artists of the West. She received her B.F.A. from Lyme Academy College of Fine Arts in 2011 and has come to be well known for her specialty in dramatic light and shadow still life painting. Her technique specifically focuses on painting from life and achieving a look of depth and luminosity with wet into wet painting.
The workshop will focus on fundamentals of:
- Starting with a clear vision
- Setting up a good still life
- How to get the look of glowing light in your painting
- Value & color strategy
- Turning the form
- Distinguishing shapes of light and shadow
- Brushwork techniques for successful edges hard or soft.
