Contemporary Sculpture and Three-Dimensional Design with Brian Guffey

This art course with Brian Guffey deals with art in its 3-Dimensional form.

We will explore problems that help develop understanding of and sensitivity to the use of three-dimensional design fundamentals.

A variety of mediums will be explored, which may include textiles, ceramics, paper mache’, wire sculpture…and more!

It is a technical and aesthetic exploration of three-dimensional design and students will participate in a wide range of experiences using additive or subtractive sculptural techniques designed to build artistic and creative confidence.

Projects are designed to teach thinking skills and to include useful Art experiences such as color theory, so that no matter what vocation students pursue, the knowledge gained in this class will be of value to them.
