Amarillo Art Institute Executive Director, Morgan Phipps, was on KAMR News Channel 4 this morning promoting the first annual Empty Bowls Project! The Amarillo Art Institute will be teaming with the Amarillo Globe News to help fight hunger during the Life After 50 Expo held on April 23rd from 8 AM-3PM. The Empty Bowls Luncheon will be from 11-1 and for $15 guests will receive a ceramic bowl – handcrafted by potters, Alex and Mandy Gregory, at the Amarillo Art Institute and a simple meal of soup, bread and a drink generously provided by Village Bakery Cafe. The bowl is yours to keep as a reminder that there are always empty bowls in our community.
All proceeds will go to the High Plains Food Bank and help provide scholarships at the Amarillo Art Institute. Read more about the Life After 50 Expo.
