Rejuvenate. Recharge. Create.

Art educators, students, lovers and more have the opportunity to rejuvenate and recharge their creative energies while learning new skills in the midst of a innovative art scene and a variety of fun-filled educational activities. Come join us at the Amarillo Art Institute to get your creative energies recharged and going!

The Creative Workshop for April, Paper Making with Steve Cost, has been postponed until this summer. For more information or to sign up please call the AAI office at 806-354-8802.

Time sure is flying by, but here at Amarillo Art Institute we are well prepared for May to be here. In the month of May we will be offering something EVERY weekend along with our weekly ongoing classes! Check out the schedule of events and Call Now to get Registered! May 2011 Schedule of Events

Wednesday, May 4: New Mexico Portrait and Landscape Artist, Mike Mahon’s, Live and Free Demo will be from 6:30-8:30

Thursday, May 5-Saturday May 7: New Mexico Portrait and Landscape artist, Mike Mahon’s, Painting Process Workshop.

Friday, May 6: First Friday Art Walk from 5-9 PM, come out and meet local artists, enjoy free drinks and food, and of course view and enjoy lots of amazing art. Also, Mike Mahon will be demoing in the Sunset Atrium during this time.

Saturday, May 14: Creative Workshop, “5 Minute Watercolor Travel Sketch Class” with local artist, Mary Zan Sweet-Warren.

Saturday, May 21: Creative Workshop, ” Water-Mixable Oils” with local artist, Cheral Squyres.

Saturday, May 28: Creative Workshop, ” Large Abstract Florals in Watercolor” with local artist, Mary Zan Sweet-Warren.

Tuesday, May 31: Session III Adult Clay Class Begins with Alex and Mandy Gregory from 6:30-9 PM.
