Each photographer will develop his/her own ‘eye’ and how to see. We will learn how our digital camera works and develop an eye for composition. (bring your own camera)
Amarillo Art Institute is happy to welcome photographer Pat Parker! The process of making a successful photograph is not rocket science, but a disciplined adherence to a few fundamental principals. For many years, Pat was totally immersed in film and darkroom imaging. I transitioned to digital and found that tried and tested principals of making photographs still hold true. The process of producing a successful photo is based on the mastery and understanding of these basic factors:
1) Subject selection and intent
2) Seeing the light and understanding its influence
3) Framing and composition of the scene
4) Technical competence with camera and lens
This workshop will help increase competence and understanding of these factors and enable you to begin the journey in finding your Photographic Eye. Exploration of the four factors will help simplify the photographic process. Opportunities for making images will be a major part of the workshop. The final day will provide time to view images and discuss the results.
