POVEY TO PRESENT TWO WORKSHOPS One on Oct. 29th and One on Oct. 30 & 31

Latest News

Edward Povey will be returning to Amarillo Art Institute on October 29 to present his Foundations Course For Artists,  for those in all areas of the arts — from gallery owners to artists and crafts people.  This workshop provides the nuts and bolts knowledge of the art world as it affects the conventional art career, working out of a studio, and using galleries for sales.  But it also addresses the issues of self-confidence and belief in one’s artwork, which so often stands in the way of career progress, even for highly talented artists.  The course explains the pricing of art, the structure of the art world and attitudes to perfectionism and learning.  Space is limited so call 806-354-8802 to sign up today. Or go to the Workshop tab at the top of this page to buy online.  Foundation Course For Artists — October 29 9am-5pm  Cost is $130

Then on October 30 & 31 from 10am to 5pm Edward will present “Learning What to See”.  This is an opportunity for artists to discover their own unique style, in an intense Master Class with an international artist who has achieved fame for his personal “vision” in art.  For both amateurs and professional artists — any style, medium or subject. Call 806-354-8802.  Cost is $250 for the 2 day workshop.
