Amarillo Art Institute invites you to participate in our First Annual Art Celebration, Show, and Sale October 30 – January 4, 2013
A picture is worth a thousand words. This show is an opportunity for us, as artists, to speak in a way that surpasses all language, cultural, and generational differences. As we contemplate the blessings in our lives past, present, and future, you are invited to share your world in art and words with our community.
Show participation fee: $15 per entry
20% of any sale will be donated to Amarillo Art Institute
Show will hang through November, December and January First Friday Art Walk.
Amarillo Art Institute is excited as we open the doors of the school to the Artists in our community to participate in our first annual art celebration, show, and sale as we share our artwork with the community around us. The name of our event is ‘The Blessing of the Season – thru the eyes of an artist’. We will be sharing our paintings and our words of what we as artists identify as the blessing of a season of our lives. As you contemplate your artwork for our show, please plan to write a short essays that would include the 5 W’s (who, what, when, where and why) to share with our guests.
Schedule of Events
Friday, October 25 – Entries will be accepted at the Amarillo Art Institute, Sunset Galleries, 3701 Plains Blvd, Suite #117 between 10am – 5:oo pm
Saturday and Sunday, October 26-28, hanging of show
Thursday, Oct 31 ‘Meet and Greet Reception with the Artists from 5:30-7:00 pm
October 30 – January 4, 2013 Timeline for show
Saturday, Jan 4 – Artists are responsible to pick up their artwork between 10 am – 5:00 pm
Sales
Artwork prices will be displayed throughout Art Show and Sale. Amarillo Art Institute will receive 20% of any sale of work displayed at Art Show and Sale.
