Watercolor Class for Beginner to Intermediate Students
Course Meets: Tuesday Evenings (4-Week Course: October 11-November 1, 2011)
Time: 6:30-8:30 PM
Description: Although believed to be a difficult medium, watercolors’ unique working characteristics and unique working process are easily learned. Whether you are a beginning watercolor painter, or have worked with watercolor for some time, this class is for you. Over the course of eight weeks, the mysteries will be unlocked as the class covers the five fundamental elements of successful watercolor painting: the “secret” to create glowing, transparent washes; effective color mixing; tonal value and the color/value relationships; how to plan your painting; and basic composition. These skills can be learned and mastered. At the end of the eight week class, each participant will have the knowledge needed to create beautiful watercolor paintings.
